FAQ
Questions families actually ask.
Getting started
Where do you operate?
We're a mobile therapy provider — our clinicians come to you at home, school or in the community across the Sydney metro area, and we offer telehealth Australia-wide. For behaviour support we work across Western Sydney, including Yagoona, Bankstown, Bass Hill, Punchbowl, Auburn and Lidcombe. Our George Street address is our head office — sessions themselves happen wherever suits you best: at home, at school or out in the community.
How do I make a referral?
Use our five-minute online referral form — parents, support coordinators, GPs and participants themselves can all refer. During business hours our admin team typically responds within 15 minutes; after hours, you'll hear from us the next business day.
Do I need a diagnosis to get started?
No — you don't need a formal diagnosis to start with us. If you have reports or a diagnosis, they help us tailor support faster, but a concern is enough to begin, and our clinicians can complete assessments where needed.
What ages do you work with?
Children, teens and adults. Our caseload spans early childhood through to adulthood — around half of our behaviour support participants are adults.
How long are wait times?
It varies by service and area, and we're honest about it up front: when we respond to your referral we'll tell you current availability before you commit to anything. Places are limited to protect quality of care.
Funding & costs
Do you accept NDIS funding?
Yes — we're a registered NDIS provider (registration 4050169749). We work with plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA-managed participants, and we bill at the rates set out in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements, so there are no out-of-pocket surprises.
Which NDIS budget does therapy come out of?
Most therapy — psychology, occupational therapy, speech therapy and assessments — is funded under Capacity Building: Improved Daily Living. Positive Behaviour Support is funded under Capacity Building: Improved Relationships.
Can I come to you privately, without the NDIS?
Yes. Beyond the NDIS we accept Medicare-referred clients (a gap fee applies), Home Care Package (HCP) participants through aged care, and fully self-funded clients. You can choose any of these in the plan-management section of our referral form, and we'll explain exactly what your costs look like before anything starts.
What about cancellations?
We follow the NDIS Pricing Arrangements on short-notice cancellations, and we'll walk you through the specifics in your service agreement before your first session — no fine print surprises.
Sessions & what to expect
What will therapy actually look like?
It starts with a conversation, not a test. Your first sessions focus on understanding goals — yours, your child's, your family's — followed by any assessment that's genuinely needed. From there, therapy is practical and goal-driven: play-based for young children, collaborative and respectful for teens and adults, and always built around your real routines rather than a clinic's.
Do parents stay in the session?
For children, yes — usually as active participants. The strategies that change things are the ones families can carry on between sessions, so parent involvement and coaching are built in, not optional extras.
Is telehealth as good as face-to-face?
For many things, genuinely yes — parent coaching, therapy for teens and adults, plan reviews and check-ins all work well by video. Some work is better in person, like initial functional assessments and hands-on OT. Most families end up with a blend, and we'll recommend honestly which suits your situation.
Who will we be working with?
Experienced clinicians only — we don't hire new graduates. Our psychologists and occupational therapists are AHPRA-registered, our speech pathologists are Certified Practising members of Speech Pathology Australia, and our behaviour support practitioners are registered with the NDIS Commission.
Assessments & reports
What is a Functional Capacity Assessment (FCA)?
A structured assessment, usually by an occupational therapist, of what you can do independently, with support, and not yet safely — used by the NDIA to make funding decisions. Our detailed guide covers the whole process: see our FCA article on the blog.
Do you write reports for NDIS plan reviews?
Yes — reports and assessments written to NDIA evidence expectations are one of the most common reasons families come to us. Tell us your plan review date when you refer and we'll work backwards from it.
Can I send you existing reports?
Please do — it saves everyone time. The referral form has an optional upload section for NDIS plans, therapy reports, GP reports and school reports.
Still have questions?
The fastest way to get answers is to just ask — during business hours our admin team typically responds within 15 minutes.
